Cause categories are maintained under the System Wide section of Setup. A cause category is assigned to the cause selected by an end user when identifying a cause to a failure during root cause analysis.
Example Cause Categories
Causes can be categorized or grouped for better reporting of root cause analysis. Following are a few examples showing causes and the categories that may be assigned to those causes:

User Rights
The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view cause categories:

FCC_MANAGE |
Allows the administrator to add new cause categories, modify existing cause categories, or delete cause categories. |
FCC_VIEW |
Allows the user to access and view cause categories. |
